A server-based profile generating and managing system, method and apparatus are provided. The system includes a stream capture server (100) which captures a received broadcasting signal stream to generate profile data and transmits the profile data to a web server (200), the web server which receives the profile data from the stream capture server, updates the profile data in a new version, and transmits the profile data if requested by a broadcasting reception apparatus (300), and the broadcasting reception apparatus which requests and receives a selected profile data to and from the web server and sets a service program based on the received profile data. |
