A bait dispenser 2 is provided comprising of a feed housing 4 for receiving bait and a base plate 8, the base plate being provided with attachment means 38 for allowing the base plate to be connected to a line in use and the feed housing including a clip part 6, wherein the clip part and the base plate have complimentary fixing means, allowing them to be removably fixed together such that the feed housing can be replaced and/or replenished with ease. The feed housing and clip part may be integrally combined and the complimentary fixing means may include resiliently biased or flexible clip arms 28 on one of the clip part and the base plate and a corresponding number of complimentary formed receiving structures 30 on the other of the clip part and base plate. The base plate may also include detachable weights 10 and include attachment means in the form of a bore. The bait dispenser may be shaped and dimensioned to reduce surface friction when deployed in water. |
