Most materials, mainly polymers, are altered by irradiation, so that it is important to know their behavior in this process. The present invention refers to a device for irradiating materials with electrons at controlled temperatures; the control of the irradiation temperature allows the change suffered by materials during an irradiation to be known. The device comprises insulation elements, a collimator with a graphite element and a system for controlling and measuring the temperature, which may be manual or automated for irradiating samples of materials controlling the irradiation temperature, also dosing the electrons beams of samples of different sizes. |
