A display apparatus is disclosed. The display apparatus includes: a display unit which displays a screen including at least one content; a communication unit which performs a communication with a user terminal in order to control the operation of the display apparatus; and a control unit which transmits screen data corresponding to at least one partial area of the screen for displaying on the user terminal according to preset events to the user terminal and reorganizes the screen so that an area corresponding the transmitted screen data is distinguished from remaining areas.
