The present invention relates to a method for generating a safe data object by a data processing device, characterized in that a data processing system receives a digital data stream comprising a consecutive sequence of data sets. The method comprises the steps of generating a data representative value when finishing an interval having a first interval length allocated to the data sets of each interval of a first length; receiving a first time stamp allocated to each data representative value; storing each data representative value along with the allocated first time stamp; generating an interval representative value when finishing an interval having a second interval length, which is longer than the first interval length, and allocated to the data representative values of each interval of a second length; receiving a second time stamp allocated to each interval representative value; and storing each interval representative value along with the associated second time stamp.
