The present invention refers to the use of buserelin in the preparation of a pharmaceutical composition for specifically treating breast cancer. Said composition provides advantages over further drugs currently available on the market, since the antitumor effect produced by buserelin is not only limited to affect the spread of the tumor, but also to abate the migration of cancer tumors present in the breast. Additionally, the pharmaceutical composition of the invention represents an alternative for treating breast tumors lacking estrogen receptors, common in menopause and post-menopause stages due to their capacity of direct link to the receptors GnRH present in tumors. |
