The present invention relates to an ultraviolet disinfection apparatus, in which an input chamber and an outlet are connected to an ultraviolet chamber with an ultraviolet lamp such that the fluid passage of the ultraviolet disinfection apparatus has an L-shape, thereby forming a re-circulated flow of fluid (mixing effect by vortex, swirl, etc.) in the ultraviolet chamber, leading to the improvement in ultraviolet disinfection efficiency of the fluid. The ultraviolet disinfection apparatus of the present invention comprises an input chamber, an ultraviolet chamber, a plurality of quartz tubes, a cover, and an outlet. Raw water is input into the input chamber. The input chamber has a plurality of sloping blades inclined at a predetermined angle. The ultraviolet chamber has a cylindrical shape. The input chamber is coupled with one end of the ultraviolet chamber in a horizontal direction. One end of each of the quartz tubes is connected to and supported by the input chamber. The quartz tubes are installed in a horizontal direction inside the ultraviolet chamber. The quartz tubes have ultraviolet lamps embedded therein. The cover supports the other end of each of the quartz tubes. The cover is fixed to the other end of the ultraviolet chamber, and connected to a controller or a power unit. The outlet is installed at the other end of the ultraviolet chamber to be vertical to the ultraviolet chamber. The fluid, which is input into the ultraviolet chamber through the input chamber, moves while forming vortex, and the flow passage of the fluid, which is formed by the input chamber, the ultraviolet chamber, and the outlet, has an L-shape. |
