The invention relates to a method for monitoring a drive train (10) comprising two shaft sections (14, 24) that are interconnected by a highly flexible coupling (18). At least one inductive or electromagnetic positional sensor (34, 36) on every side (20, 22) of the coupling is used to determine the time curve of the distance between the respective sensor and at least one marking element (32) on every side of the coupling. The determined time curve of the distance between the respective sensor and every marking element on both sides of the coupling is evaluated and compared to determine the time curve of the rotation angle between the shaft sections for the purpose of monitoring the status of the drive train. |
