The present invention relates to a remote sensing control system with a flow rate detection function and a control method thereof capable of efficiently controlling flow rates by configuring a valve opening control device and a flow rate measuring device installed in a flow diverging point on a water supply pipe or a sewer pipe to be in one system. The remote sensing control system according to the present invention is configured to include a data input and output unit (120) that sets and displays the operation of the remote sensing control system; a flow rate measuring unit (160) that is installed in a water pipe (WP) and measures the flow rate of fluid passing the pipe; and a valve control unit (150) that receives and recognizes a valve opening value measured through the flow rate measuring unit (160), receives and recognizes a valve opening value measured through an opening sensor (211) provided in an electric valve unit (200), and controls the valve opening of the electric valve unit (200) by analyzing the recognized measured flow rate value or valve opening value. Therefore, the flow rate is accurately and rapidly controlled by controlling the opening of the valve and measuring the flow rate at the same time.
