PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mouth opener appropriately controllable according to dental treatment conditions.SOLUTION: A mouth opener (1) includes an upper side member (3) for contacting the upper side jaw (301), a lower side member (5) for contacting the lower side jaw (303) of a patient mouth, a connector (7) for connecting both ends of the upper and lower side members so that their opening and closing operation may be possible, an opening/closing resistance controller (9, 11) to control the magnitude of resistance against the opening and closing operation, and an input part (21) where the signal of dental treatment apparatus (101) operation status is input. The opening/closing resistance controller is such that, if a special apparatus operation status signal is given to the input part, the magnitude of the resistance of the upper and lower side members in their closing direction more increases than the magnitude in the case where no such special apparatus operation status signal is input. |
