PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material in which a spiny dogfish in which there is a dietary habit and that is safe is used, and a side effect is few based on onset mechanism of osteoporosis, that promotes growth of osteoblast enabling extended administration, and that has an effect to treating and prevention to aim at osteogenesis.SOLUTION: A bone remodeling improvement medicine uses a spiny dogfish head cartilage or a defatting object thereof as an active ingredient, can improve an osteoblast activity level by as much as 20-30% and improve an osteoclast activity level by as much as 20% without decreasing a serum calcium level by administration. Moreover, an osteogenesis promoter, an osteogenesis promotion food, and an osteoporosis preventive food use the spiny dogfish head cartilage or the defatting object of the same as an active ingredient.
