HEAT ABSORBING MATERIAL AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat absorbing material having high heat resistance and high wavelength selectivity, and a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A heat absorbing material includes a heat-resistant metal 21 having a periodic structure substantially the same as a wavelength of solar light of specific wavelength in a wavelength range of visible light and near infrared ray on an incident face, and a cermet 22 formed on the incident face of the heat-resistant metal. Desirable absorbing/radiating characteristics to absorb light in a visible light region and reflect light in an infrared ray region, can be obtained. The cermet does needs no complicated film formation control, thereby maintaining high heat resistance.
