PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent stress applied to a cotter groove from being enlarged if a bending load due to press force by a pressing device and gear reaction force of an output gear is applied to a variator shaft.SOLUTION: A toroidal type continuously variable transmission includes an input shaft 1, an input side disk 2 and an output side disk 3 which are supported by the input shaft 1 and a power roller 11 interposed by them. It is provided with a pressing device 12 which applies pushing force to the input side disk 2, the output side disk 3 and the power roller 11 in state supported by the input shaft 1, and a cotter 36 which transmits the press force to the input side disk 2 of rear side in position corresponding to the opposite side of the pressing device 12 with respect to the input side disk 2, the output side disk 3 and the power roller 11 of the input shaft 1. On the input shaft 1, there is provided a hole 1f on cotter 36 side and there is provided a radial bearing 42 rotatably supporting the input shaft 1 on center side relative to the cotter 36 of the inside. |
