摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a determination method for HIC resistance performance of a steel material that predicts whether a TMCP unrefined thick high-strength steel plate used suitably for a pipeline or a UOE steel pipe using the steel plate as a blank passes an HIC test.SOLUTION: There is provided a determination method for HIC resistance performance of a steel material that predicts whether a TMCP unrefined thick high-strength steel plate used suitably for a pipeline or a UOE steel pipe using the steel plate as a blank passes an HIC test, the HIC resistance performance being determined by setting, as determination items, (1) chemical component analysis of the steel plate or UOE steel pipe, (2) rolling/cooling conditions (actual results) (or rolling condition actual results of the steel plate as a blank for the UOE steel pipe), and (3) ultrasonic flaw detection nearby a surface layer, and comparing values obtained by the determination items with preset criteria.
