A method for designing a mould comprises the steps of: designing an initial injection cavity (6) having a trim panel which is desired to be produced; estimating direction (F) and amount (d) of warpage which comes from warpage generated in the trim panel if the trim panel is produced by the initial injection cavity (6); and compensating the shape of the initial injection cavity (6) as much as the amount (d') corresponding to the amount (d) of warpage in opposite direction (F') from the warpage direction (F) in order to compensate the amount and direction of the warpage of the deformation in order to obtain compensated injection cavity (8). When the trim panel is collected from the compensated injection cavity (8), the trim panel having desired shape can be obtained through injection of plastic materials. The compensation of the initial injection cavity (6) to obtain the compensated injection cavity (8) includes the compensation of the side end shape of the injection cavity, and a center part (14) of the cavity which is extended from between the side ends (12) is maintained as not being compensated between the compensated injection cavity (8) and the initial injection cavity (6). |
