PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a dye compound for black ink that has high water solubility, is stable even when a high concentrated aqueous solution and ink are preserved for a long period of time, and provides a black color recorded image excellent in toughness, light resistance and ozone gas resistance of the image, wherein concentration of a printed image is very high, and bronzing is not caused in the image; and to provide an ink composition of the same.SOLUTION: A tris-azo compound shown by formula (1) or a salt of the same is disclosed. In the formula, n denotes 0 or 1; a group A denotes a substituted benzothiazolyl group or the like; at least one of X and Y denotes -NH-; a group B denotes a substituted phenyl group or the like; a group C denotes a hydroxy C1-C4 alkoxy C1-C4 alkyl or the like; Rdenotes a methyl group or the like; Rto Reach independently denotes a hydrogen atom, an unsubstituted C1-C4 alkyl group, a substituted C1-C4 alkoxy group or the like. |
