PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a main rope tensioning structure capable of more reducing a shock load in falling than a conventional structure.SOLUTION: In at least one intermediate support 15b arranged between a pair of end supports 15a, 15c forming both ends of a main rope tensioning structure 11, a main rope 18 passes through a frame 17 of the intermediate support 15b, and is wound at least one round around the frame 17. According to this main rope tensioning structure 11, when the weight of a falling operator acts on the main rope 18, resistance is generated in the longitudinal direction of the main rope 18 due to friction generated between the frame 17 and the main rope 18, and the resistance enables the weight of the operator to be supported by the intermediate support 15b. As a result, the energy in falling can be suppressed to reduce the shock load acting on the operator. |
