PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition to be used for the treatment of a patient suffering from a complication of premature birth, extreme premature birth and/or superpremature birth.SOLUTION: Provided is composition consists of an insulin-like growth factor I (IGF-I) or an analog thereof combined with an insulin-like growth factor binding protein (IGFBP) or an analog thereof, wherein the combination ratio as the molar ratio of the IGF-I to the IGFBP is lower than an equal molar ratio, or optimally, in a range of 1:20-1:3.33. Also, provided is a method for treating a patient suffering from a complication of premature birth, extreme premature, and/or superpremature birth. |
