PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leak detection apparatus which comprises an optical fiber sensor for detecting leakage of fluid from a hose as quickly as possible and detecting a location and type of the leak, the optical fiber sensor provided with waterproof properties and optical continuity between multiple hose sections.SOLUTION: The leak detection apparatus comprises an optical fiber sensor (2) arranged to detect leakage of fluid through a hose carcass (6, 8). The optical fiber sensor (2) is arranged to detect a location of the leak along a section (4) of the hose, and provided with optical continuity between the consecutive hose sections (4), (4) by an optical jumper cable (12), and with waterproof properties by an optical bulkhead adapter (26). |
