PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire which is improved in steering stability while maintaining or improving good fuel efficiency and fracture strength.SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire includes a tread having a rubber layer formed by use of a rubber composition which includes carbon black, silica, and staple fibers having an average width of 3 nm to 50 μm and an average length of 50 nm to 500 μm. In the rubber layer, an average longitudinal orientation angle of the staple fibers relative to a tire circumferential direction is 15-75°, the ratio of the staple fibers having the longitudinal orientation angle of 15-75° relative to the tire circumferential direction to the staple fibers contained in the rubber layer is 35-100%. |
