PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a latch device where closing operation of a lid automatically fastens between the lid and a housing, so that careless opening between them does not occur without locking.SOLUTION: A first fastening body 2 and a second fastening body 3 of a latch device 1 are fixed on a housing-like first member 41 and a lid-like second member 51, respectively. When the members 41, 51 are closed to each other, the fastening bodies 2, 3 are automatically engaged with each other to fasten the members 41, 51. Since an engaging plate part 14 of the fastening body 2 is automatically engaged with an engaging surface 19a of the fastening body 3 at a fastening position where a latch lever 5 of the fastening body 2 falls down to the mounting surface 43 side, forgetting of fastening between the members 41, 51 does not occur. Locking with a lock 6 is also possible. When the latch lever 5 is erected and turned to an unfastening position by pressing an operation part 12a, the engagement between the fastening bodies 2, 3 are released, whereby the lid-like second member 51 can be easily opened. |
