PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door lock device for a vehicle that prevents a door from being opened in a case of a side collision, and has a simple structure to reduce costs.SOLUTION: A door 13 deforms by a side collision and a door outer panel is hollowed. As the door 13 deforms, the door outer handle is drawn in toward a hollow side, and a rod 50 also follows up the door outer handle and rotates around a contact part with a rear sash 17 as a fulcrum to move from a position of the rod 50 shown by an imaginary line to a position of the rod 50 shown by a solid line. At this time, a hook part 56 moves from a position of the hook part 56 shown by an imaginary line, but contacts a lower outer surface 36 of a latch unit 30 to stay at a position of the hook part 56 shown by a solid line. Consequently, a lock (latch) release lever 32 is restricted from being displaced, and restrained by the rod 50 not to be displaced in a push direction. |
