PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and surely prevent play of a fitting hole with respect to a shaft, easily caused by the long-term use or the temperature change or the like, and a backlash caused by the play while employing a simple fitting-hole shape as a mounting part of a cylinder or a rod.SOLUTION: A piston damper includes: a cylinder 10 having a mounting part 16; a piston 20 disposed in the cylinder so as to be reciprocatingly movable; and a rod 2 having a mounting part 28 moved synchronously with the piston. Each of the mounting parts 16, 28 of the cylinder and the rod is connected to different one of a first member 8 and a second member 9 to brake the movement of the other member with respect to one member of both members. At least the mounting part 16 of the cylinder 10 forms a fitting hole 17, and has a biasing means 18 that is pivotally supported in a fitting state between the fitting hole 17 and a shaft S with respect to the first member 8 or/and the second member 9 and absorbs play of the fitting hole 17 with respect to the shaft S. |
