APPARATUS FOR BREAKING SLAG

The present invention relates to a slag crushing apparatus for promoting safety of an operator and a reduction in an operation time by preventing an outflow of a molten iron through a seal gate and by breaking a slag in a short time through an elevating movement of a lance. According to the present invention, the slag crushing apparatus comprises: a lance for crushing a slag through an elevating movement; a guide frame part connected to the lance for guiding the elevating movement of the lance; a lance driving motor installed by being separated from an outside of the guide frame part for generating a driving force in order to elevate the lance; an elasticity controlling device installed in an outside of the guide frame part for controlling elasticity of a chain for transmitting the generated driving force; and a seal gate installed to be opened and closed in a lower part of the lance for blocking an outflow of a crushed slag and a molten iron. Preferably, the seal gate includes: a carbon cover capable of being replaced and for blocking an outflow of a crushed slag and a molten iron; an air hose insertion hole connected to an air hose for preventing adhesion of the slag crushed through air spraying; and a driving cylinder connected to the carbon cover for moving the carbon cover. Preferably, the seal gate is provided to block an outflow of a crushed slag and a molten iron, since the seal gate opens the carbon cover when an elevating movement of a lance is started, and closes the carbon cover when an elevating movement of a lance is finished.
