PURPOSE: An aromatic diamine, an aramid polymer and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to ensure an excellent color property by preventing oxidation as an antioxidant such as hydrazine is included and to prepare an aramid polymer with narrow molecular weight distribution. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing an aromatic diamine comprises the steps of: adding antioxidants to aromatic diamine; and purifying aromatic diamines to which antioxidant is added. The antioxidants are hydrazine. A purifying process is performed by a heat distillation method. The method further includes a step for adding organic solvents with the boiling point lower than that of aromatic diamine.
