Disclosed is a method for protecting applications of an electronic device. The electronic device is provided with a touch screen, and is stored with a screen sharing program, other applications, a ban list, a first touch track and a second touch track. The electronic device runs the screen sharing program to share the screen, and senses a touch track of a user on the touch screen. When sensing the first touch track, the electronic device adds an application corresponding to the first touch track to the ban list; when sensing the second touch track, the electronic device deletes an application corresponding to the second touch track from the ban list; and when sensing a point touch, the electronic device searches the ban list to determine whether an application corresponding to the point touch exists in the ban list. If an application corresponding to the point touch exists in the ban list, the screen sharing program stops screen sharing and then runs the application; if no application corresponding to the point touch exists in the ban list, the electronic device runs the application, and the screen sharing program normally implements screen sharing. |
