The purpose of the invention is to provide molecules that bind to a target molecule in a pH-dependent manner and a screening method for selecting such molecules. Provided is a screening method for selecting peptides that bind to a target molecule at a first pH and do not bind to the target molecule at a second pH, the method including: a step for producing a peptide library containing at least one special amino acid that changes the charge of a side chain in a pH-dependent manner for each mRNA; a step for contacting and incubating the peptide library and a target molecule under first pH conditions and selecting the peptides that bind to the target molecule; and a step for selecting, from among the peptides that bonded to the target molecule, the peptides that do not bind with the target molecule under second pH conditions.
