PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive support device and a drive support method that appropriately determine whether or not a drive support is required, and can execute an effective drive support.SOLUTION: A drive support device 1 is configured to: respectively calculate a time to collision (TTC) until a self vehicle arrives at an intersection where the self vehicle intersects with a moving body in an advancing direction of the self vehicle and in a direction intersecting with the advancing direction and a time to vehicle (TTV) until the moving body arrives at the intersection; determine whether or not a drive support in the self vehicle is executed on the basis of a relative relation between the TTC and the TTV and determine a content of the drive support to be executed; execute intervention control in the self vehicle when the relative relation between the TTC and the TTV satisfies an intervention control condition; and execute notification until the moving body arrives at the intersection when the relative relation does not satisfy the intervention control condition after the relative relation once satisfied the intervention control condition. |
