PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve, in a scanner, downsizing, reduction in cost, and low power consumption and also suppress the bending of scanning lines, and the deterioration of optical characteristics due to ghost light.SOLUTION: In an optical scanner 100, light beams from a plurality of light sources 101 are deflected on different deflection reflective surfaces of an optical deflector 105 in the opposite direction with the optical deflector 105 held therebetween, and converged on respective different surfaces to be scanned through respective scanning optical systems corresponding thereto. The light beams incident on the respective deflection reflective surfaces of the optical deflector 105 include a horizontal light beam and a light beam having an angle relative to a normal to the deflection reflective surfaces. Common lenses 106 each are shared between the light beams scanned on the same deflection reflective surfaces. Individual lenses 107 individually arranged for each light beam have an optical surface represented by a common formula. The individual lenses 107, the norm to the deflection reflective surfaces of the optical deflector and optical axes of which are horizontally arranged, are arranged at a position shifted from each other in the sub-scanning direction for the incident light beams. |
