PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molten salt reactor capable of taking out heat from the molten salt reactor without directly bringing molten salt into contact with a metallic pipe for heat exchange.SOLUTION: The molten salt reactor includes: a moderator structure 3 having at least one molten salt passage 2 penetrated in a vertical direction; a reflector 4 arranged on upper and lower parts and a periphery of the moderator structure through a molten salt circulating gap X; a reactor vessel 5 for storing the reflector 4; and a coolant passage 10A for circulating a coolant for exchanging heat with the inside of the reactor vessel 5 through a wall of the reactor vessel 5.
