Disclosed are a method and system for compatibly displaying address book information in a cellphone card. The method comprises: judging the type of a cellphone card in a cellphone; if it is judged that the cellphone card in the cellphone is a 2G cellphone card, determining same as a first class card, and displaying the address book information about the first class card by reading same; if it is judged that the cellphone card in the cellphone is another cellphone card different from the 2G cellphone card, determining same as a second class card; and by reading file fields which are parsed by the cellphone in the second class card file, displaying the address book information about same, then extracting file fields which cannot be parsed by the cellphone in the second class card file to a new record, and displaying the address book information about same by reading the new record. |
