This communication control method is used in a cellular mobile communication system which supports device-to-device communication, i.e., direct wireless communication between user terminals that are in a state in which a wireless connection has been established with the network. This method involves a step in which the base station transmits maximum power information indicating the maximum transmission power permitted in device-to-device communication.
