The present invention relates to a crane assembly for transferring a steel plate and a steel plate transferring method using the same and provides a crane assembly for transferring a steel plate which includes a supporting beam including an upper rug formed on the upper part, a first lower lug formed on the lower part, and a second lower rug which is formed on the lower par and separated from the first lower rug; an electromagnetic magnet unit which is connected to the first lower rug and which a magnetic force is on/off; and a connection unit which is formed to be extended lengthwise in a direction lower than the electromagnetic magnet unit and connected to the second lower rug and a steel plate transferring method using the crane assembly for transferring a steel plate which reduces accidents by preventing accidents by preventing a worker from being caught when coupling a clamp and prevents muscular skeletal diseases by preventing a worker from using too much strength.
