<p>Provided is a technique which can provide a new feeling of anticipation for item enhancement, and which can increase the use of an item enhancement service by a user. A method for enhancing items using a retained item, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: enabling an item enhancement server to receive, from a user terminal, a enhancement request for the level of the item with respect to items which have different advantages according to the level thereof and can be used in a game; loading a enhancement information table in which an enhancement success probability for raising the level of the item to the next level according to the enhancement results is preset and stored in each level; selecting the enhancement success probability matched with the level of the enhancement-requested item from the enhancement success probability information by analyzing the enhancement information table; receiving a registration input for at least one of the items registered in a retained item database of the user from the user terminal; correcting the enhancement success probability selected according to the information of the registration-inputted item; and determining whether the enhancement for the enhancement-requested item according to the corrected enhancement success probability is successful.</p> |
