PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To broaden a color gamut to be displayed.SOLUTION: A display medium includes: a display substrate 18 having a display-side transparent electrode 16 and a surface layer 17 deposited on a transparent support substrate 14; a rear substrate 28 disposed to oppose to the display substrate 18 via a gap and having a rear-side electrode 22 and a surface layer 20 deposited on a support substrate 26; first particles 32Y colored into yellow that is one color in colors of cyan, magenta and yellow, which are sealed between the substrates and move in accordance with an electric field between the substrates; second particles 32R colored into red that is one color in colors of red, green and blue, which are sealed between the substrates and have a charging characteristic different from that of the first particles 32Y; suspended particles 32W colored into white, which are sealed between the substrates; and a color filter 30C colored into cyan that is different from the color of the first particles 32Y, in colors of cyan, magenta and yellow, which is disposed on the display substrate 18. |
