PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mixing device for a soil improvement machine capable of sufficiently mixing a soil improvement material with soil even when the soil is aggregated cohesive soil.SOLUTION: A mixing device 19 for a soil improvement machine which mixes a soil improvement material with soil supplied from a conveyor 13 comprises: a casing 71; paddle mixers 72 with paddles 77 arranged around peripheries of rotating shafts 76 extending in a longitudinal direction inside the casing 71; shear members 94 which are plate-like members extending from an entrance 74 of the casing 71 in a direction of the rotating shafts of the paddle mixers 72 and fixed to side walls at both sides of the casing 71 so that lower edges of the shear members 94 come close to rotational trajectories of the paddles 77. A central position C1 between lower edge sections of the shear members 94 at both sides of the casing 71 is adjusted to coincide with a central position C2 of a width W2 of the soil when supplied by the conveyor 13. Also, a distance W1 between the lower edges of the shear members 94 is adjusted to coincide with the width W2 of the soil when supplied by the conveyor 13.
