The actuator has a shift fork (4) moved by a screw thread shoot (5) that is located on a spindle (7) propelled by an electromotor (6). A pressure spring (8) is arranged between the screw thread shoot and the shift fork. The pressure spring is pre-tensioned and force-controlled by screw thread shoot movement (9) along the spindle. The shift fork is supported at a pivot point (10) or at a carriage. Neutral position of the shift fork is provided between two gear end positions. The neutral position is independent of a position of a rocker.
