PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption by effectively using electric charges discharged from an inactive function block in a semiconductor device including a plurality of function blocks which are selectable between active and inactive.SOLUTION: In a semiconductor device including a plurality of function blocks, by providing a capacitative element electrically connected with the plurality of function blocks, electric charges discharged from an inactive function block can be accumulated in the capacitative element. Before supplying power from a power supply to a function block determined as active, electric charges accumulated in the capacitative element are supplied to the function block determined as active and subsequently power can be supplied from the power source.
