PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of effectively preventing meandering of a steel sheet in the entry looper of the continuous treatment facility of the steel sheet without making a considerable investment in equipment.SOLUTION: In a method of preventing meandering in the entry looper of a continuous treatment facility for joining the tail end of the preceding steel sheet and the nose of a succeeding steel sheet to each other in the state where the steel sheets are stopped and continuously passing through and treat the steel sheets, after finishing the joining of the preceding and the succeeding steel sheets, passing of the steel sheet into the entry looper is started when the length of the steel sheet in the entry looper becomes a predetermined value or less with respect to the storable length of the entry looper and the passing speed of the steel sheets is accelerated to a predetermined accelerating speed, or, after finishing the joining of the preceding and the succeeding steel sheets, passing of the steel sheet into the entry looper is started at low speed at which the meandering is not caused and the passing speed of the steel sheet is accelerated to a predetermined accelerating speed when the length of the steel sheet in the entry looper becomes a predetermined value or less with respect to the storable length of the entry looper. |
