Provided are: a carbon fiber-reinforced polybutylene terephthalate molded body which has excellent physical properties and appearance; a method for producing the molded body by a simple process that does not cause an increase in the production cost; and a molding material which enables the production method. A molding material which is characterized in that 50-2,000 parts by mass of a polybutylene terephthalate is adhered to easily impregnatable carbon fiber bundles that contain 100 parts by mass of carbon fibers and 3-15 parts by mass of one or more impregnation assistants that satisfy a specific condition.
