The method involves determining a value of two simultaneous temperature differences between individual battery modules. The modules with an increased temperature difference are determined. The modules with the increased difference is air-conditioned using a fluid such that a temperature difference between the two battery modules is reduced to change a temperature of the battery modules over a regulating unit (9) or a controller (7), where the reduction of the temperature difference between the two battery modules is carried out during a charging or discharging process of the modules.
