PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a surface material for absorbent articles, capable of immediately transferring a body fluid to an absorbent body, preventing leakage of the body fluid and a sticky feeling, and having excellent skin touch.SOLUTION: A method uses a configuration including a first roll 21 having a large number of concave portions 24 arranged in the surface, a second roll 22 having a large number of convex portions 25 arranged on the surface, and a third roll 23 having a large number of concave portions 26 arranged in the surface. This method includes: performing emboss processing by gearing between the concave portions 24 and the convex portions 25 by allowing a surface sheet 3 to pass through between the first roll 21 and the second roll 22; introducing a second sheet 6 into the outer circumference of the roll 22 while keeping the surface sheet 3 on the convex portions 25 of the second roll 22; performing emboss processing by gearing between the convex portions 25 and the concave portions 26 by allowing the sheets 3, 6 to pass through between the second roll 22 and the third roll 23; and at same time, forming a bonding portion 8 on the tips of the convex portions 25 of the second roll 22. |
