PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily construct an underground tank and to prevent the tank from being floated by liquefaction of the ground, regarding the tank which is constructed by a method of construction called caisson method or caisson settling method, and a construction method thereof.SOLUTION: Lower ends of a plurality of drain pipes erected around a tubular body that becomes a peripheral wall of a tank are opened inside of a guide frame fixed to a lower end of the tubular body and while draining ground water from the drain pipes, a caisson is settled to predetermined depth. A crushed stone layer is constructed in the depth where the lower ends of the drain pipes are buried, and a bottom plate and a top plate are fixed, such that the tank is formed. After a vertical load is formed, upper ends of the drain pipes are opened on the ground. |
