PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide clippers for horticulture, reducing noise caused by a change in direction of exhaust due to a cooling fan to improve the work environment.SOLUTION: A hedge trimmer 10 includes: an electric motor 21 provided upright in the interior of an outer shell housing 11; a pair of Shear blades 31, 32 reciprocated relatively through a crank mechanism 23 provided at the lower part of the outer shell housing 11 by the electric motor 21; and a cooling fan 22 rotated by the operation of the electric motor 21 to jet the air sucked from the upper part of the outer shell housing 11 toward the inner surface of the peripheral wall of the shell housing 11, wherein the air jetted from the cooling fan 22 flows out of an opening 11g provided at the lower end part of the peripheral wall of the outer shell housing 11. In this hedge trimmer 10, the inner surface of the peripheral wall of the outer shell housing 11 is provided with a sound absorbing material 14 at a part thereof where the air jetted by the cooling fan 22 hits. |
