PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the fuel vapor desorption efficiency of an adsorption material 42 in the vicinity of an atmospheric port 24 and to control emission of the fuel vapor from the adsorption material 42 into the atmosphere without increasing the entire heater capacity by setting the temperature distribution of the adsorption material 42 in the vicinity of the atmospheric port 24 to be higher than the temperature distribution of other portion of the adsorption material 42 in a fuel vapor processing apparatus having a heater, in which fuel vapor is adsorbed by the adsorption material stored in a container, the fuel vapor adsorbed during the engine operation is desorbed, and the adsorption material is heated for promoting the desorption.SOLUTION: The temperature distribution of an adsorption material 42 to be heated by a first heater 50 and a second heater 60 is higher in the vicinity of an atmospheric port 24 of a container 12 for introducing the atmospheric air into the container 12 during the desorption than the temperature distribution of other portion. |
