PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent resources in a network from being pressed even when a communication route is changed so as to bypass a relay device in which a failure has occurred.SOLUTION: A communication system comprises a plurality of relay devices 9 for relaying data by using a communication route determined between a first terminal device and a second terminal device. The relay device 9 comprises: a storage unit 91; a route information management unit 92 which updates route information so that the relay device 9 is indicated additionally in the outward way and stores the route information in the storage unit 91 in the homeward way, when the route information is transmitted in the communication route so as to travel back and forth from a relay device on the first terminal device side to a relay device on the second terminal device side; a route notification unit 93 for transmitting route notification information showing a relay device at a next stage of a relay device where a failure has been detected to a relay device to be a new next stage relay device for replacing the relay device where the failure has been detected; and a route determination unit 94 which determines the relay device at the next stage shown by the route notification information as a relay device at the next stage. |
