PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that an area occupied by each candidate becomes small by increase of the number of the candidates, and a user is hard to select a candidate to be desired when the area is small.SOLUTION: A portable terminal includes a cabinet, a contact unit provided on a side face of the cabinet and accepting a contact operation, a detection unit for detecting a movement in a state where a contact on the contact unit is accepted, and a display unit for displaying plural characters. On detection of the movement, if a change of the movement direction is detected, a character display is changed. |
