PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of effectively displaying an image such as an OSD image different from an input image together with the input image, and further to provide a control method for the display device.SOLUTION: A projector 1 comprises: image output means for outputting image data of a left-eye image and image data of a right-eye image on the basis of input image data S1; image processing means that reads out OSD image data 12A that are image data different from the input image data S1 from a RAM 11, performs processing for disposing another image data at a left-eye position and combining the image data with the image data of the left-eye image and performs processing for disposing another image data at a right-eye position and combining the image data with the image data of the right-eye image out of the image data output by the image output means; and a display section 40 for displaying an image on the basis of the image data of the left-eye image and the image data of the right-eye image processed by the image processing means. |
