PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology which can further appropriately emphasize a contour in video processing.SOLUTION: A video processing apparatus includes: a video analysis section which divides a plurality of pixels included in a video frame into a plurality of blocks and calculates a plurality of block feature amounts corresponding to the plurality of blocks by using luminance values of a plurality of pixels included in the plurality of blocks respectively; a contour emphasis control section which generates a correction signal for controlling the contour emphasis by using the plurality of block feature amounts; and a video correction section for generating a corrected video frame by correcting the luminance values of the plurality of pixels included in the video frame by using the generated correction signal. |
