PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor drive device capable of properly alerting that a failure has occurred and an electrically-driven power steering device including the same.SOLUTION: A motor drive device 2 drives a motor 80 having a first coil assembly 81 and a second coil assembly 82. The motor drive device 2 includes plural inverter parts 61, 62, plural power supply relays 51, 52, and a control part 10. After a first circuit 100 was determined to have failed, the control part 10 controls the second inverter part 62 of a second circuit 200 that is in a normal state such that vibration occurs at output torque from the motor 80, and gradually increases the output torque. Thereby, the control part 10 continues to drive the motor 80 with the second circuit 200 and can properly alert that the failure has occurred at the device. |
